MEET THE CANDIDATES!

Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 7:00 pm

The Candidates Forum will be held on Thursday, October 1 at 7 pm as a teleconferenced and/or video conferenced meeting.  We encourage you to attend as this is your chance to “meet” the candidates and to have your questions answered.

You may submit your questions via email to the Election Committee at [email protected] to be received no later than 4:30 pm on September 30.

You may attend “Meet the Candidates” either by phone (landline and cell phone both) or join the online meeting.

To join the online meeting:

After clicking the link or copying and pasting you will see a screen with a green “Join Online Meeting” button. Click the green button. The next screen will ask for a password. Enter the password chester (all lower case) and click the submit button. It is recommended that you create a freeconferencecall log in and download the application but it is not necessary.  You are now part of the online meeting. To enable chat simply click the chat bubble showing on your screen. At the next window, click on the dropdown arrow next to “All Particpants” to open options and select “Queen’s Landing”.  You are now all set to view info and submit questions to the presenter.

To join by phone only:

Call (515) 604-9941 and enter the access code 618215# when prompted.  If using a cell phone you can also connect to the meeting by texting ‘Call Me’ to the Dial-In number (515) 604-9941 and you will be called into the conference. Message and data rates may apply.

Please remember that all questions must be submitted in writing as detailed above to be addressed.

Once the questions have been received the Election Committee will review the questions to weed out any duplicates.  Any questions deemed appropriate will be accepted and asked of the candidates by the moderator.  Those questions which are personal in nature, derogatory and deemed not appropriate will be discarded.

The candidates will be asked to give a brief introduction and asked some general questions relating to running for the board.  Once this is complete, questions submitted by the community will be asked as time allows.

Thank you for your understanding in these trying times as we work through the best way to provide you access to the candidates.  As alwyas we strongly encourage all unit owners to attend via teleconference/video to meet all of the potential candidates.

As a reminder voting started September 24th but you may want to hold off until after joining the October Meet the Candidates night before you cast your vote as once you vote it’s final.

Should you have further questions, please email [email protected] so that we can resolve any issues or special needs you may have.  Valid election information will ONLY come from Tidewater Property Management, the election committee at [email protected] or Simply Voting.  Information received from any other source is not official information and should not be viewed as such.

Thank You,

Elections Committee
