Business Recap for November 2020

Date: November 18, 2020
Subject: Monthly Business Recap for November 2020

Highlights of the November Board Meeting:

There were three main motions passed at this month’s meeting.

  • With the recent gym reopening a success, a motion was passed to open the racquetball court to two players at a time, and also to provide a way to keep the TV on and available.
  • A motion was passed to accept the bid of Chester River Landscape to continue services.  Of the five contractors invited to participate, two submitted bids and Chester River Landscape not only provided the lowest but is our current provider and one with which the Landscape subcommittee is very happy.
  • A motion was passed for the Board to conduct business electronically with Microsoft 365 basic, which will add better documentation management, centralized calendaring, as well as formally make Microsoft Teams our community teleconference application in the near future.

In local news, the Governor updated state COVID-19 restrictions yesterday to reflect rising infection numbers.  The update included restrictions on hospital and nursing home visitation, 10pm closure times for in-person restaurant and bar services, and 50% capacity limits for most retail.  More info can be found here: https://governor.maryland.gov/coronavirus
