Hello and welcome to the hot weather!

It was a quiet BOD meeting this month in terms of new business but the President and various committee reports offered a wealth of news:

  • The three year roofing project is finally coming to a close and gutters should follow quickly after that
  • We are receiving proposals for the doors and windows project and the Pool/Clubhouse proposals are winding their way through the county government
  • Next year’s annual Budget should be finalized in the next Budget committee meeting on August 3rd with a Town Hall presentation following a week or so after
  • Budget committee reported on the tremendous expenditures in insurance because of polypipe losses, premiums, and lawsuits.
  • Additional kayak and small craft racks are planned to be built
  • COSC is working on a number of upcoming events such as:
    • July 31 Ice Cream Bar Social at the pool with movie in the grass afterwards
    • August 6th Bingo and “Dog Days of Summer Happy Hour” with Summer Drinks provided by COSC.
    • Cardboard Boat Regatta towards end of August
    • End of Summer BBQ
  • COSC also reports pickleball is the most popular they’ve ever seen it and they’ve been splitting the tennis court up into four separate pickleball courts to accommodate demand
  • Maintenance committee will be looking at tennis courts in the near future and also dryer vent violations
  • The Polypipe committee meets next week to look over several years losses, discuss the office’s communications with plumbers, and planning for a presentation
