BOD Recap January 2021

Date: January 21, 2021
Subject: Monthly: BOD Recap January 2021

New teleconferencing:

This month’s BOD meeting was notable for the introduction of a new teleconferencing system for the community’s BOD and committee meetings.   Feedback from users of both the desktop/mobile Microsoft Teams app as well as users of the telephone audio bridge seemed to be very positive.  Some improvements remain to communicating the information needed to join the meetings via the Tidewater Portal, but the invitations seem to work very well via email from the office, and also at https://35.173.69.231/calendar/

Gates and Fences:

The Long Range Planning Committee reported that it is looking into putting some gates around the community starting at the garbage/recycling area and the end of the marina path which leads to Anchor Lane.  These may use our keyfob system or a combo keypad like at the tennis courts.

The BOD also discussed the process for removing the fence behind Building 27 .

Office Changes:

As Bob Karnei mentioned in his President’s Report, we are in the early stages of securing a replacement for community manager Tammy Eaton, who will be moving to another role at Tidewater.
