Subject: COSC Upcoming Events

The Clubhouse Operations and Social Committee has several events planned for the next few weeks.

  • On September 18th we will have a Chalk Drawing Day in the Clubhouse Parking Lot for our younger residents and guests. Kids can win one of three gift cards to SweetFrog Frozen Yogurt, as well as receive coupons, etc. See the attached flyer. We do need you to sign up on Sign-Up Genius quickly, or we’ll have to cancel if there is no interest.

We had several people say they’d participate after filling out the Survey that we sent, but they have not filled out the Sign-Up Genius. Please do that as soon as possible.

Also planned is our big, end-of-summer, day, October 2nd, where we will host the 2nd Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta in the morning and then throw a big party/Low Country Boil in the afternoon.

Again, this event is time-sensitive with supplies to be picked up, tee shirts to be ordered, etc. Please let us know if you are interested right away. We are hoping for a good number of participants. For Details, see the attached flyer.  Contact [email protected] or [email protected] with questions.

  • Finally we will have our Low Country Boil feast in the parking lot that afternoon, with live entertainment from our own Dana B. There will be a small fee (see attached flyer) but it is very reasonable, and we hope to have a huge turnout.

Contact Rick Baamonde at [email protected] or Michele Kirwin, [email protected], to get your tickets. Tickets must be purchased by Sept. 25th so we can buy the proper amount of food.  Please order these right away to help us plan properly.

Checks to sign up for the Regatta or order tickets to the Low Country Boil should be made out to QLCOUO.

Again, see the two attached flyers for more info and visit the Sign-Up Genius pages to sign up for the Chalk Day and Cardboard Boat Regatta events.

Let’s end the summer with a bang! We hope you’ll participate in these events and our end of summer party!
