April 2024 Board Recap
The Board met Monday, April 15 at 7:00, with about 7 homeowners attending.
BOARD MEMBER UPDATES
The first order of business was to introduce to the community our newest board member Russ Bowman. Now, one spot remains unfilled for the board this term and six Board terms are coming up for election this fall. In addition, we encouraged involvement on the committees each Board member chairs. Hats off were given to both the property management and long-range planning committees for the recent, quite extensive work accomplished.
MOTIONS APPROVED
The board approved several new motions this month including:
An Updated Guidance and Operations Committee Resolution of the Board of Directors with some noted edits to be made.
A motion to charge Long Range Planning Committee to prioritize and plan—define scope, manage bidding, recommend contractor to Board and once contracted, send project management to Maintenance Committee- Selected projects identified in the recently accepted Reserve Study.
PROPERTY MANAGEMENT UPDATE
Two RFP’s have been received and are being evaluated for our community property management contract renewal. Next steps and updates to follow.
WE’RE GETTING NEW SIGNS
If you would like to weigh in our new signage face lift, here is your chance. The board has agreed to have the community vote on the new look here at QL for our main signage. There will be three designs to choose from. Information regarding the signage and voting will be forthcoming.
SOCIAL EVENTS
The Community recently enjoyed a Book and Puzzle Swap and is now planning a Memorial Day Pool Party on Memorial Day. We are actively looking for sign-ups especially to assist with manning the grill as some food will be provided. Details to follow.
POOL PROJECT UPDATE
The pool resurfacing project is underway and the pool will open as planned on time May 15; however, due to the pool work underway, the pool heater may be delayed by a few days’ time.
We will know as time gets closer.
