Subject: Recycle Container Pick Up Changes Effective June 1
Trash and Recycle Schedule Starting June 1, 2020
Curbside & Toter Service (2x week) – Mondays and Fridays
Recycle Containers (3x week) – Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
Starting June 1 the recycle containers located at the maintenance area will have an additional pick up service on Wednesdays meaning the Recycle containers will be emptied three days a week – Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Per the May Board meeting the Board approved adding an additional day for all services, however, curbside and toter service will NOT change as the trash contractor, Republic Services, does not have a truck or crew available to accommodate adding an additional pick up day. The Board will continue to work on solutions to address the issues with the maintenance area including looking at getting cameras and gating installed.
As a reminder of the rules for the two single stream recycle dumpsters all your recyclables can be placed together in the same container. Plastic bags CANNOT be disposed of in the Recycle bins; items must be placed loosely in containers. Cardboard boxes must be broken down to conserve space.
