Subject: COVID 19 Trash Collection Notice – PLEASE READ
Good Afternoon Queen’s Landing,
Notice has been received from Republic Services, your trash collection contractor, advising that they are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation to make sure they’re doing the right thing for the health and safety of their employees, customers, and the communities they serve. With the recent surge in residential waste and unique challenges they face they must temporarily modify their service offerings to keep the community clean and safe.
Until further notice Republic Services will be operating under the following guidelines:
- They will accept waste placed in bags only. Bags cannot exceed 50 pounds. As a reminder for Queen’s Landing, bags are to be placed curbside after sunset the day before pick up. Pick up days are Mondays and Fridays.
- They will accept tote contents only. Drivers will not be authorized to leave their vehicle to pick up waste outside of the tote. Totes are located at the maintenance area.
- They may need to use alternative disposal methods if there are disruptions to recycling processing capabilities or if recycling contamination increases. It’s important to keep waste out of the recycling container. The recycle dumpster is located at the maintenance area.
