Hi Neighbors,
A couple of items from the Social Committee.
- This Saturday is the day! Jay Fleming will be here at the Chester Room from 5:30 to 7 PM, October 30th, and will do a presentation on his photography, especially photos from his soon-to-be released book, Island Life. Please sign up soon so we can get an accurate count. Again, this event is totally free, and coffee and cake will be provided. Bring old books and get them signed, or buy books and calendars on site. This should be a great event and a wonderful chance to meet one of the foremost photographers/documentarians of life on the Chesapeake Bay. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040549a5aa23a6fb6-anevening We have about 30 people signed up so far, and definitely would like to get 20 more, if we can. Come out and meet Jay!
- We are going to do Halloween a little different this year.We are willing to come to any unit with kids (17 and under) and drop off Halloween Gift bags. Just fill out the Signup Genius with your name, unit #, and number of kids living in the unit and we’ll do the rest. (Trunk or Treat was freezing last year and we mostly stood around in the cold. This year we will bring the treats to the kids!) Here is the link to sign-up: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040549a5aa23a6fb6-halloween
If anyone in the community wants to add treats to the gift bags, please let me know ([email protected]).
Regards,
Rick Baamonde
