Subject: Monthly: BOD Recap January 2022
This month’s BOD meeting was squeezed into the lobby of the clubhouse while the rest of it continues to be renovated. The project remains on track to be completed according to budget and well before opening of the pool season. We do remind you kindly to make sure that if you need the in-person attention of the office that you make an appointment as the renovations may keep them outside the clubhouse.
Bob Karnei’s President’s Message for January covered a long list of topics we will try to summarize here:
- Our trash and recycling vendor Republic appeared to handle the recent weather conditions on about a par with other vendors of similar numbers of units and receptacles. We have no reason to think that another vendor might have handled better.
- We will soon release some information about making an additional dumpster available at the Maintenance shed for larger items. The exact dates, usage, and restrictions of this dumpster will be released as soon as possible
- Snow removals were accomplished within 24 hours
- Residents have seen lots of varied wildlife such as otters and foxes in the area, and a call to the county assures us this is nothing to be concerned about unless you are a homeless cat, which foxes find delicious
- Work hours for interior remodel/construction by owners and their contractors are M-F 8am-pm and weekends and Holidays 9am-5pm. Emergency repairs are exempt from these work hours.
- If you have a complaint to make about a rule being broken in the community there is a procedure to do that in Rules and Regs section 1.3, page 4 (https://35.173.69.231/2020/08/07/rules-regulations-effective-july-21-2020/). In general you should plan to provide the “five W’s”, as well as unit numbers and any photos to the Covenants committee at <a href="mailto:[email protected]" style="color:blue; text-decoration:underline" title="mailto:[email protected]“>[email protected]
A couple of other interesting notes:
- The Board discussed the open seat and agreed that it could be filled with a qualified candidate who had the time to take on the responsibility of a one or two committees.
- The Ad Hoc Reserve committee is becoming a Standing Subcommittee under the Budget Committee.
