Hello Queen’s Landing and welcome to your May BOD Recap.
The big news this month of course was the nearing completion of the COMAR project and the resulting Clubhouse renovation. First we want to bring to those of you who couldn’t make the Open House some photos, so you can get an idea of what you haven’t been able to see:

There remain still some unfinished parts of the project, such as the completion of all the fob reader installs, some new gym equipment, a bar to be installed in the Chester Room, and a list of smaller tasks. The Board is confident at least that the pool will open on time on Memorial Day weekend. It will still be several weeks or more until the full Clubhouse is totally open for regular recreational use, but it’s almost complete!
In other news, we would like to remind everyone of the Annual Memorial Day BBQ, Monday May 30 from 2-4pm at the pool. As always, it is totally free to the community. The Social Committee team will provide food, iced tea, lemonade, snacks, music, etc. We do need some volunteers to help set-up, grill, and clean up after the event. Please contact [email protected] if you’d like to help or have questions.
The community is also being asked, as always, to bring food to share, like salads, side dishes, or desserts. Think cole slaw, potato salad, macaroni salad, ambrosia, deviled eggs, pigs in blankets, chips, etc. Whatever you bring is greatly appreciated.
Also, as a reminder, Happy Hour/Bingo will take place in the Chester Room on Friday, June 3rd. Happy Hour will start at 5:30 and Bingo will commence at 6:30. Again, please bring shareable snacks.
This is going to be an exciting summer at Queen’s Landing and we’re glad to have you be a part of it!
