Subject: Monthly: BOD Recap June 2021
In Old Business from this month’s Board meeting:
•Discussion of pending mediation, doors and windows, and patios
•A review of Bob’s previous guidance to the community that Board Members will not contact them or visit them unsolicited in light of reports of Walter contacting and visiting them unsolicited.
In New Business, there were two motions:
•A motion to form a committee to shop for a new management company, which was defeated. Those voting against cited timing, resources, and other ongoing long term projects.
•A motion to rescind last month’s “Motion to clarify the word ‘present'” in the Bylaws, which was found by legal counsel to be unenforceable, which was passed unanimously.
In other news:
•With the pool and clubhouse now open again and “mask-optional”, Water Aerobics and Mah Jongg are starting up again. Water Aerobics is daily at 11am and 7pm, and Mah Jongg is Fridays at 1pm and new players are always welcome.
•Related, you can now attend monthly Board Meetings in-person again provided you are vaccinated. For now, vaccination card needs to be provided.
Finally, don’t forget all the July 4th fireworks are right around the corner. Queen Anne’s County Parks and Recreation will hold its Annual Fireworks and Family Fun Celebration. The fun starts at 6.00 pm on July 4th at Chesapeake Heritage and Visitors Center at Kent Narrows. The fireworks begin after sundown and are fully visible along the river front from Queen’s Landing to the south.
